高徒，感謝你們！

今年暑假，我一口氣聘請了四個暑期工，他們幾乎毫無例外都是本港或英美著名大學的二年級生，才二十出頭。我安排他們在總行各部門邊學邊做。暑期工作終結後，他們不約而同都寫了感謝信給我。

A先生說：

「I joined Easy Property on 14th June 2010 and left on 16th August 2010. Although it is not a long period, I would like to thank for your kind teaching. Such working skills are very useful and valuable for my future career. Also, persuasion and hard-working will always bear in my mind in the future. Once again, thanks for giving me a great opportunity to work as summer job in Easy Property.」

B小姐說：

「I would like to thank you for having me as part of your team. I appreciate the opportunity to work with you in person so as to enable me to get to learn more about your company and to share some of your experiences and thoughts. It’s been a challenge for me to accomplish new responsibilities which I have never come to expect from my past working experiences. At the same time, I am thankful for your forgiveness to the mistakes I have made during my employment. Under your wholehearted guidance, I have learnt and developed the essential quality to be trustworthy and accurate. From calculating salary/commission to performing a variety of personnel/administrative tasks, you have taught me the valuable skill sets in proper handling of dilemma and how important it is to be a self-disciplined worker, knowing “what to do” and “how to do” in order to “get things done”. If truth be told, I have benefited the most from the experiences gained in Easy Property which, to my belief, will further enhance my potential and better prepare my future career path.」

C小姐說：

「This summer job opportunity offers me not only working experience but also a training of working smart. The skills that I equipped are very useful and valuable. I do gain a lot from working in three different departments.  I would like to thank for your kind teaching from my heart.

I joined Easy Property on 21st June 2010 and left on 23rd August 2010. Although it is not a very long time, your teaching will be always in my mind. I hope that I can have a further chance to learn from you in future. Again, thank you for giving me this valuable chance. 」

D先生說：

「晚生放肆，於效力怡居之前，恃才傲物，自以為是。殊不知進入怡居認識您後，方見人外有人，並能窺探真正大智者的風采。晚生不才，經您不厭其煩的悉心教導後，仍未能及您萬一，更不斷犯錯。惟晚生有幸得您耐心的容忍，才能勉強應付工作的挑戰，晚生對此衷心感激。但高手一出，非同凡響，晚生經您輕輕指撥後，卻已豁然開朗，茅塞頓開，深刻地反省了自己的缺點，並牢牢烙進了心頭，成為日後人生中的戒條。

最大的裨益，莫過於能親身體驗您親自設計的公司典章制度，並領略箇中令企業有秩序地發展的奧秘；不是吹毛求疵，而是精益求精，不是繁複碎瑣，而是精密管制。晚生接受了近三個月最高水準的管理訓練後，日後處世謀生，必定勝人一籌，鶴立雞群。

知遇之恩，沒齒難忘，日後定必湧泉以報。晚生暑假工後重新上學，定必努力學業，戒除劣根，鍛鍊心智，提升能力，以圖再效犬馬之勞。」

孔子曰：「善學者，師逸而功倍，又從而庸之；不善學者，師勤而功半，又從而怨之。」孔子認為，善於學習的人，能使老師費力不大而教育效果好，並能感激老師；不善學的人，即使老師教得很辛苦，自己收效甚少，還要歸罪於老師。

少年時代，我十分喜讀武俠小說，當時對書中的絕世高手，為了將自己的精奧武功延續下去，不惜千方百計尋找高徒，找到或碰到之後則苦苦哀求高徒拜他們為師的情節，十分費解。當時心想，擁有絕世武功的高手，不是小輩們夢寐以求的對象嗎？為何折墮到那般境地！現在愈來愈明白，高徒者，資質稟賦過人的學生也，自是超級「善學者」，不但精於學藝，而且往往青出於藍而勝於藍，對授藝老師亦更懂得欣賞和感激，老師的滿足感和成就感因此最大。老師能收到高徒，真是不可多得的福份，若能得之，跪拜亦值得！

「善學者，師逸而功倍，又從而庸之；不善學者，師勤而功半，又從而怨之」，自古已然，但香港今時今日45歲以下的「學生」(包括僱員、下屬、兒女、弟妹及後輩)，無論是學習態度還是學習能力，普遍每況愈下，令孔子所說「不善學者，師勤而功半，又從而怨之」的現象，於今為烈！最近20年，我絕少絕少碰上「善學者，師逸而功倍，又從而庸之」這些幸運美事，遭遇的盡是「不善學者，師勤而功半，又從而怨之」的不快。

這幾封感謝信，令我頓生久旱逢甘露之感。嗯，對授藝老師懂得欣賞和感激，高徒也！而且不是一個二個，竟然讓我同時碰上四個！這是我的福份。

看著信，眼眶不禁微濕起來。
